BLYTH COMEDY NIGHT WILL BE A REAL LAUGH A BLYTH RESIDENT is hoping the sound of laughter will help breathe new life into his local community. Gavin Humphries and his brother, stand-up comic Kai Humphries, have launched a new comedy night at Newsham Side-Club on Winship Street. Punch-Drunk Comedy aims to bring the world's best stand-up talent to Northumberland, with future line-ups featuring the likes of Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Phil Nichol, local legend Gavin Webster and Jason Cook, creator of the BBC Two sitcom Hebburn. But more importantly, the Blyth brothers hope the night will help bring their local community back together - if only for once a month.
